As a lash business owner with over 12 years in the industry, I cannot stress the importance of identifying your ideal client enough.

If you are talking to everyone, you are talking to no one.

It is essential to create high-quality content that speaks to your ideal client, as you know what they are looking for, you will be able to weed out unwanted clients by speaking directly to your ideal client on ALL platforms, and build a community of followers who want to hear what you have to say as you speak directly to them.

Identifying your ideal client can help you make more money as you will be able to help your dream clients, learn how to refine your clients as your business grows and evolves, and avoid feeling “salesy” or “pushy” feel authentic by being you. To be able to achieve the above, you need to identify who your ideal client is and ask yourself several questions.

Some of these questions may include how old your ideal client is, their gender, if they have children, if they are married, single, or divorced, what they do for a living, their income, what hobbies they have, their biggest fear, what they value most, what makes them angry, what they are passionate about, their world views, what their perfect day looks like, and what experience they may have with lash extension services.

One of the mistakes people make is describing non-specific situational things about their Ideal client avatar. This is when you need to dig deep and brain dump about your Ideal client avatar. Base your descriptions on the answers given in the earlier exercises, and don't be afraid to get specific.

For example;

"Jane wants beautiful lashes" is much different from "Jane's perfect day is waking up with beautiful lashes, saving her time getting ready for work in the morning, and her lashes still looking perfect when she meets the girls for drinks in the evening."

Once you have identified your ideal client avatar, it's time to take action. Ask a selection of your current clients who you see as your ideal client what content they would like to see you create, read through any old blog posts and social media posts that you've created to see if there is room for improvement, have a look through your website and edit it so you are talking directly to your ideal client, evaluate the services you currently offer and assess if they serve your ideal client directly, and get organised by scheduling your tasks specific to improving the way you speak and deliver your content to your ideal client.

In conclusion, identifying your ideal client is crucial for your lash business to succeed. By knowing who your ideal client is, you can create content that speaks directly to them, build a community of loyal followers, and make more money by helping your dream clients. Take the time to identify your ideal client avatar and implement the steps necessary to reach them effectively. Your business will thank you for it.
